Good Natured Dog Productions, LLC (GND), a production company co-owned and co-founded by Falmouth resident Alecia Orsini Lebeda, will be hosting the first-ever GND Cinema Jam at The Beach House Restaurant in North Falmouth on Wednesday, April 23, from 7 to 11 PM.

The event will offer the public a chance to meet the GND crew and learn about ways they can get involved with the company during its participation in the 2014 Boston 48 Hour Film Project. Filming for this competition will take place in Falmouth from May 2 to 4.

The evening will also include film trivia hosted by Chris Kazarian, a live performance by local bands The Silent Trees and Racing Days, and a raffle that includes items such as professional photographs, gymnastics lessons, and a chance to be included in GND’s film.

Proceeds from the raffle will help fund the film production.

The community can also get involved and help out with the production by offering potential filming locations at as well as donating food and drink for the filming in May. Locations include, but are not limited to, residences, restaurants, houseboats, and coffee shops. Donations sought include food, water, coffee, and snacks.

“This is a chance for the community to come and meet us, see who we are and celebrate the seemingly insane task of making in a film in only two days,” said Ms. Lebeda, chief executive officer and co-founder of GND.

The 48 Hour Film Project is the oldest and largest timed film competition in the world. Held in cities across the US and worldwide, the contest challenges filmmakers to write, shoot, edit, and submit a short film in one action-packed 48-hour segment. Good Natured Dog Productions has competed in seven 48 Hour Film Projects in the US so far, and this year marks the fourth year the company’s team will participate in the Boston competition.
