Sports are being putting aside at the Musings today. Instead I ask you to spend the time you would usually spend reading my rants, jokes and ideas and head over to www.jimmyfund.com and look around and maybe make a donation. Today is the big NESN/WEEI Jimmy Fund fundraiser, and the goal is to raise over $3 million. Every little bit helps the cause. I will be calling in later and donating $24 in honor of our new puppy, Dewey. Yes, my all-time favorite ballplayer wore that number, and so does my current favorite Red Sox player. It’s not a lot of money, but like I said, every little bit helps the cause, and there aren’t many better causes in the world that I can think of.
Wins and losses are fun. Talking movies is always a good time. Ranting about the stupidity of pro athletes is easy. What’s important though are kids. Do what you can. God bless.
