Great win by the good guys last night. Sox are back up to a five-game lead, which is about where it should be when they leave NY next week. I’ll go on record right now, I’ll be satisfied if they leave NY with a four-game lead. That would mean 10 more games off of the schedule, and NY making up no ground at all.
Quick, three pitchers lead the AL in wins, name them.
If you said Tim Wakefield, Josh Beckett and John Lackey, you win. That’s right, Wake is 15-10 and tied for the league-lead with 15. That’s unreal. I wish Wake could pitch in a dome every night, he’d be the Cy Young winner.
Hopefully this is the start of a sweep. Talk to y’all tomorrow.
Whipping Boy update: JD Drew went 0-for-4 last night, with two strikeouts. He also made more money than most of us make all year, last night, over $86K. Not bad work if you can find it. Hey Theo, I’ll go 0-for-4 for half that man.
