Hey, both the Celts and Pats made smart moves yesterday. Good times.
The Celts added Sam Cassell to the mix, which in my eyes is a brilliant addition. Cassell brings playoff experience and the ability to take a big shot, and make it. He also wants to take those shots, which is always a good thing. I think with the mix of guys the Celtics have, Cassell — an uber-competitor — only makes them stronger as they make a push for the playoffs. It’ll be interesting to see if he plays tonight against Detroit. If the Celtics go deep, he’ll be a big reason why, I think.
I also love that Sam Cassell looks just like the alien from Enemy Mine. It’s so funny.
As for the Pats, they brought Randy Moss back into the mix with a new contract. I heard a lot of stories the last couple of days about Moss leaving, but never gave it much credo. Moss likes winning, and he loves working with Tom Brady. I hadn’t heard anything from either Moss himself, or the Pats, that made me believe they were parting ways.
The Pats still have some over-hauling to do, but having Moss back is a very good thing.
