There are a lot of folks I know in PA &amp; NJ who think the casinos destroyed Atlantic City.  I grew up in the Phila. area and remember as a kid when it was a real beach town with a boardwalk that didn&#039;t have casinos - they had rides and all of that stuff you would expect on a boardwalk.  Casinos brought stuff that Atlantic City didn&#039;t have - prostitutes, crime, etc. and it drove out the homeowners - many, many houses were leveled to build those casinos.

When I go to the Jersey shore I usually end up in Ocean City or Cape May.  That&#039;s my 2 cents.</description>
