Give Rhythm and Roots (Labor Day Weekend, Charlestown, RI) a try, it features Cajun, zydeco and blues and is produced by the same people.

Marilyn: I remember that hot (very hot), humid August day in Memphis in 1977. There was a wide range of immediate reaction, including a lot of disbelief that the report of his death was even true. There also just happened to be a large Babtist Church convention in town, and of course Elvis recorded a lot of spiritual music, and the convention was quite devastated, by the news, and then the circumstances of his sad passing.
A couple of Cape-related notes on Elvis: One of his religious albums has a Sandwich church photo on its cover, and Elvis included a special version of "America the Beautiful" (poem by Falmouth's Katharine Lee Bates) during his 1976 American Bicentennial year.-Glenn R.

I feel sorry for you, missing out on all the years of Elvis, I do not only love Elvis for Elvis, I love him for the warm, tender, generous, kind hearted, fan loving(can`t say that about many artists these days) caring person that he was. Elvis not only gave himself but gifts to numerous charities etc, If you watch some of the dvd``s about him you will see what I am saying is true. I have many friends I have met because of Elvis and although I never saw him in concert I recently returned from a trip to Memphis and saw all the love and adoration still being given to him 32 years after his death. 600,000 people a year still passing through the gates of Graceland can`t be wrong. Name me ANYONE ese who has this pulling power. As for you laughing the day Elvis died, I would say you are perverted, You should not laugh at anyone`s death unless of course they are criminals. Oh well, your loss.

I know that Elvis's grandmother was Cherokee Indian. That is where he got his faceplates from his grandmother.
