Pocasset Man Arrested For Knife Attack At Bank

A man from Pocasset was arrested this morning following an altercation inside the Santander Bank on Barlows Landing Road. Police arrested 34-year-old John M. Ross and charged him with a single count of assault and battery with a deadly weapon, Bourne Police Detective Sergeant John R. Stowe said. Sgt. Stowe said that the weapon used by Mr. Ross was a knife.


Sgt. Stowe said that police responded to a call from bank employees about the altercation at 10:36 AM today. The victim, a 26-year-old male, suffered minor injuries. He was evaluated and treated at the scene, and refused transport to the hospital. The cause of the altercation is still under investigation by police.

Mr. Ross was scheduled to be arraigned in Falmouth District Court this afternoon, Sgt. Stowe said.
