Police determined that the keys had been left in the vehicle, which had been unlocked.

While the police were taking a report from the vehicle owner at his residence, Bourne police said the Harwich police had found the pickup truck in connection with the theft of another vehicle in that town. The Harwich police proceeded to arrest Noah Pond, 40, a homeless man with ties to Sagamore and Harwich, charging him with both thefts.
