Kristian L. Ciampa has been commissioned as a second lieutenant in the US Air Force after completing the Air Force ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) program and graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University in Boston.
ROTC is an educational program designed to provide college students an opportunity to be Air Force officers after completing military study courses and bachelor’s degree requirements at a host college or university. The program is one of the largest and oldest sources of commissioned officers for the Air Force, with a mission to produce and develop highly qualified military leaders.
The officers pursue their Air Force careers in air, space and cyberspace fields and other scientific, technical and administrative professions.
Lt. Ciampa is a 2010 graduate of Bourne High School.
