The Briggs-McDermott House, the Alonzo Booth Blacksmith Shop and the Alan Green Carriage House will be open to the public Tuesdays and Saturdays from 1 to 4 PM starting June 17 through September 9.
The forge will be operating, and a collection of vintage carriages is on display in the carriage house. Also on exhibit are the period mannequins representing five generations of women who lived in the Briggs-McDermott House as well as period furnishings and practical implements of the period from 1840 to 1920. Occasionally costumed docents will be found baking old-fashioned treats in the vintage wood stove.
The art of famed practical painter and marine artist, Charles Raleigh, is on display as well.
