On Tuesday, July 22, the Bourne Historical Society will Present “An Evening to Remember,” a characterization of the people and events that led up to and included the Revolutionary War naval encounter, the battle of Nantucket.
The characterization will feature Galon “Skip” Barlow as the elder Levi Barlow, a recognized privateer under the order of the Colonial Government of Massachusetts. Mr. Barlow and others will recall the events of the battle of Nantucket on the 232nd anniversary of this historic encounter, from the deck of the small sloop-half scale replica.
The event will begin at 7 PM at the Aptucxet Trading Post Museum Complex, 24 Aptucxet Road, Bourne Village.
There is a suggested $5 donation. Refreshments will be served after the presentation.
Bug spray is suggested.
