The East Falmouth Village Association will hold its annual meeting on Thursday, July 31, from 7 to 9 PM at the East Falmouth Elementary School on Davisville Road. The purpose of the meeting is to update Falmouth residents and visitors on issues pertaining to East Falmouth and the Town of Falmouth and also to provide the opportunity for discussion and public comment. All are welcome.
Several town officials will be in attendance. Dan DiNardo, director of Falmouth’s Community Emergency Response Team, will be the guest speaker. He will explain the importance of being prepared for any emergency or natural disaster such as a hurricane or tornado and how Falmouth’s emergency team operates to support citizens in case of a disaster. Michael Palmer, town clerk, will discuss voter turnout and how it affects tax dollars.
Also on the agenda are an update on changes to the Davisville/Route 28 intersection; plans to redevelop the CVS block; the status of Menauhant Beach; and the successes and future events at the East Falmouth Elementary School. Committee reports will be given and new officers and directors will be elected. Refreshments will be served.
