The Falmouth Town Band will perform at the Falmouth Music and Arts Pavilion on Thursday, August 21, from 7:30 to 8:45 PM. The ensemble is directed by Lavada A. Studley.
The program will include “The Star Spangled Banner,” “The National Emblem March,” “Victory at Sea,” selections from the musical “The Lion King,” “Adventura,” John Williams’s music from the “Harry Potter” films, “Manhattan Beach March,” selections from the musical, “Les Misérables,” “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing,” the Beach Boys’ “Forever,” “Around the World in 80 Days” and “We are the World” by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie.
The weekly finale will be John Philip Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever.”
The emcee will be Glen Rowland. The manager of the Falmouth Town Band is Falmouth High School educator Darrell Morey. The librarian is Lori LeGacy-Spurling and the stage manager is Paul April.
The evening’s entertainment will be telecast by Falmouth Community Television local access channel 13. The public is invited to bring chairs or blankets to this free concert.
