Ralph Wadleigh will present “Writing a Genealogical Biographical Sketch” on Saturday, August 9, from 10 AM until noon at the monthly meeting of the Falmouth Genealogical Society. The meeting is at the Falmouth Public Library at 300 Main Street.
Attendees will learn how to construct the basic building block of genealogical writing. This is useful for individuals who have collected family history information and documents over the years and want to find a way to “get it written.” Once on paper, it can be informally shared with family and friends, or published in a journal, book or magazine.
Mr. Wadleigh has researched family history for over 20 years. He is the past president of Falmouth Genealogical Society, author of numerous genealogical articles, and a past board member of the New England Regional Genealogical Consortium.
Everyone interested is invited to attend.
This program is free of charge and open to the public.
Experienced genealogists are available at the reference department of the Falmouth library on Tuesdays between 2 and 4 PM to answer questions and consult with members of the community concerning their genealogical research. No appointment is necessary. Advice and assistance are free of charge.
