What do insect repellent, house paint, and food seasonings have in common? In colonial New England, they were all made from plants. Museums on the Green will host an event for children about colonial gardening on Saturday, May 10, from 10 AM to noon to learn about the uses of many common, and not so common, herbs and flowers.
Children will pot their own plant to take home. All are welcome to attend. The Museums on the Green is at 55 and 65 Palmer Avenue. The event is sponsored by Bush Gardens of Osterville.
