Mashpee Human Services To Hold Food Drive During Town Meeting

Mashpee Human Services will be sponsoring a food drive at Mashpee High School during the Annual Town Meeting on Monday, May 5.

All kinds of canned food, pasta, soups, juices and juice boxes, and any nonperishable items are welcome.


Of special note are healthy food donation suggestions, which include items such as brown rice, whole wheat pasta, pasta sauce, oatmeal, low-sugar cereals such as Cheerios or Chex, bran cereals, peanut butter, pinto or black beans, canned tuna, unsalted nuts, whole grain crackers, whole grain granola bars, no-sugar-added canned fruit, low-sodium soups, low-sodium canned vegetables, powdered milk fortified with Vitamin D, and Ovaltine.

Also accepted will shampoo, toothpaste, soap, and other personal care items.

The donations will be divided among the food pantries that serve Mashpee residents.
