The Mashpee Women’s Club welcomes author James R. Butler when the group meets Tuesday, May 20, at noon at New Seabury Country Club. Mr. Butler, a native of Harlem who now lives in Falmouth, tells of his life in the book, “Metamorphosis in Black.”
Kathryn Hilderbrand, owner of Stitched in Mashpee Commons, also will offer a presentation during the meeting.
The luncheon features salmon with dill vinaigrette, and strawberry cheesecake. Members are asked to bring donations of paper goods for local food pantries.
Reservations are due by Tuesday, May 13; the cost is $20 per member and $25 per guest. Checks should be made payable to MWC and mailed to Mashpee Women’s Club, PO Box 1613, Mashpee, MA 02649.
