Mother's Day Demonstration planned at Nuclear Power Plant

Cape Downwinders, a group seeking safety from nuclear energy risks, is planning a demonstration on Mother’s Day at the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station in Plymouth. The group calls for all mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers and their friends and families to join them for “prayer, communion, reflection and optional direct action” beginning at 1 PM on May 11.

Organizers note that participants are welcome to bring drums and other noise-making instruments to St. Catherine’s Chapel Park in Plymouth between 12:30 and 1 PM for a rally, drumming and music. The protesters will then leave to march the one mile to Powerhouse Road for the demonstration and further rallying.

Directions and further information can be found on the groups website
