A grand opening will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, August 19, for the affordable housing development at 20 Shore Street, Falmouth.
The Shore Street project is the redevelopment of a vacant, dilapidated and foreclosed historic building into three affordable rental apartments, which will be rented to households earning up to 60 percent of the area median income.
The house was renovated by the nonprofit affordable housing developer TRI-The Resource, Inc. and financed by the Falmouth Affordable Housing Trust, Massachusetts Housing Investment Corporation, Cape Cod Commission HOME Consortium, Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston, the Massachusetts Attorney General’s HomeCorps Program and BankFive.
Falmouth selectmen, representatives from Federal Home Loan Bank-Boston board, the Cape Cod Commission, and the Massachusetts Housing Investment Corporation will attend.
Renovations were designed by Kit Wise Architect. The general contractor is The Haynes Group and the project’s rehabilitation consultant is John Saari.
