Stuff A Cruiser Benefit For Sandwich Food Pantry

On Saturday, June 28, from 10 AM to 4 PM, Sandwich Citizens Police Academy volunteers will hold their third annual Stuff a Cruiser event.

Officer Dan Perkins of the Sandwich Police Department is the driving force behind this project, which collects food and cash donations for the Sandwich Food Pantry.

Volunteers will be stationed outside the two Stop & Shop stores in Sandwich to help stuff a Sandwich police cruiser with bags of nonperishable food items and paper products donated by shoppers. The bags will be delivered to the food pantry, where volunteers will be on hand to help food pantry staff sort and shelve the donations.

Last year's Stuff a Cruiser event generated $40,000 worth of food and $800 in cash.
