Join the Sandwich Glass Museum in celebrating the 375th anniversary of Sandwich by discovering the history of the oldest town on Cape Cod.
Experienced docents will recount stories of the famous (and not-so-famous) residents of Sandwich and their impact on the town—the town that glass built. The walks take participants through the village starting at the Sandwich Glass Museum in Sandwich’s Glass Town Cultural District. The tour lasts approximately one-and-a-half hours and is now being offered every Tuesday and Thursday through July and August and in September on Saturdays and the first two Saturdays in October.
There will be no walking tour on Saturday, September 13, due to the 375th Celebration of Sandwich and the Grand Parade in the village.
Walk participants should meet at the Sandwich Glass Museum at 10 AM. Wear good walking shoes. Rain cancels the tours. Tours are free although donations are welcome.
The Sandwich Glass Museum is at 129 Main Street in Sandwich—opposite the town hall, on the corner of Tupper Road and Route 130. The entrance to the museum is on Tupper Road.
