An all-time high of 24 medals were awarded to students from Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School at the Skills USA Massachusetts State Leadership and Skills Conference championships held in May in South Easton.
More than 2,500 participants competed in 69 skill competitions and 17 leadership competitions in addition to state officer elections. Thirteen UCT students were awarded gold medals, four silver, and six bronze. Additionally, one student earned the position of national voting delegate. Gold medalists and the national delegate will advance to the national skills conference, in Kansas, Missouri, at the end of June.
