Lyme Awareness of Cape Cod will hold its second annual Cape Cod Canal Walk for Lyme on Saturday, June 21. All proceeds will benefit those suffering from Lyme disease.
The event will be held at the Sandwich Marina on Freezer Road. Check-in starts at 10 AM; the walk will start at 11 AM.
Participants can choose to walk a half-mile or a full 6.5 miles along the canal.
At noon, there will be a cookout and a lobster/clam boil with live music.
Entry fees range from $15 to $75, with children under 6 years admitted free of charge.
Lyme Disease Awareness of Cape Cod (LACC) recently opened what is believed to be the nation’s first health and wellness center dedicated to treating the disease.
The center, named the Entire Health and Wellness Center, is at Trinity Place on Route 28 in Mashpee.
