The Creative Arts Center in Chatham is hosting its fund raising summer event “Staging Art” on Sunday, July 22, 2012, 6-9 P.M., under the tent at the Stage Harbor Yacht Club Pier.
An evening of music by The Total Strangers, hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer. But, the highlight of the evening is the Chance Art Raffle of original art in a variety of forms by the nucleus of this creative community, its teacher and professional members. The raffle features twenty-five distinctive items ranging from framed oil and watercolor painting by Creative Art Center teachers Mary Carroll Allen, Julie Blanchard, Maryalice Eizenberg, Robert Mesrop, and Executive Director, Angela Mault. Additional artworks by professional artists active in the Creative Arts Center community include Tilda Bystrom, Pati DuVall, Peg LoPresto, Nancy Rude and Linda Simonitsch, and an original watercolor by longtime supporter, Jack Long.
Pottery and ceramics include pieces by CAC teachers Susan Williams, Ron Dean and Rosalie Nadeau. Other offerings: a mixed media piece by Julie Dykens, photography by Norm Kenneally, wood turned bowl by Jeff Tubman, and handcrafted jewelry by Teresa Cetto and Kim Catalano.
Creative Arts Center in Chatham provides a vibrant educational resource for all ages where the visual arts are explored and celebrated through classes, exhibitions and special events.
