Colossal Choral Group Rehearsing
New Bedford, MA – New Bedford Symphony Orchestra Chorus Master Paul Cienniwa is rehearsing with more than 125 local singers in preparation for the NBSO’s upcoming “Handel’s Messiah” concert to be held on Sunday, November 25 at St. Anthony’s Church, New Bedford. Members of South Coast choral groups have been practicing for weeks to prepare for their performance of Handel’s Messiah Part 1 and the Hallelujah Chorus and Schubert’s Magnificat in C. South Coast choirs represented include: Mastersingers by the Sea (David MacKenzie, director), Sine Nomine choral ensemble (Paul Cienniwa, director), Greater New Bedford Choral Society (Gerald Dyck, director), Greater Tiverton Community Chorus (Beth Armstrong, director), South Coast Community Chorus (Frank Wilhelm, director), Sippican Choral Society (Brian Roderick, director), and Spirit of St. Anthony Choir (David Touchette, director).
