Adult Film Series @ Woods Hole Public Library

When: Mon Feb 25th
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Where: Woods Hole Public Library | 581 Woods Hole Road | Woods Hole

The Film for Grown-ups series at the Woods Hole Public Library will continue with the screening of a film Ben Affleck both stars and directs in, which recently received the Best Picture award in the British Academy Film Awards. The film will play on Monday, February 25, at 7 PM.
Because of restrictions in their lease for public viewing, the Library cannot publicly name the title of the film, but if a phone call is made at 508-548-8961, librarians can fill in those curious.
This film, released in 2012, dramatizes the historic events in 1979 when the American embassy in Iran was invaded by Iranian radicals. Six embassy workers managed to escape to the Canadian Ambassador’s home and their experiences and one man's quest to save them becomes the film's story.
Affleck has also won the Golden Globe award for Best Director, the AFI Award for Best Film of the Year, and has 7 nominations for Oscars with this film. It runs 120 minutes, and is rated R and will be shown free at the Library.
