"Celebrating Contemporary Women Chefs @ Momo's Food Emporium

In recognition of Women’s History Month, Momo’s of East Sandwich will be hosting “Celebrating Contemporary Women Chefs” March 8 through the 17th.
During the weeklong celebration Momo’s “daily and cuisine to go menus” will feature the recipes of six American women chef’s that have earned accolades for their culinary acumen. The public is invited to a tasting of some of these recipes on Friday, March 8, at Momo’s, 598 Route 6A, East Sandwich from 5 through 7 PM. Works of art from various women artists will also be on view at the restaurant.
Admission is $5 per person, and Momo’s will donate all the proceeds from this event and a portion of the week’s sales to the Sandwich Food Pantry.
The selected chefs, featured on popular cooking shows and owners of their own restaurants, all share a passion for creativity. They are:  Elizabeth Falkner, former chef and owner of Citizen Cake in San Francisco; Stephanie Izard, to date the only woman to win the title on Bravo’s Top Chef, and is the owner of Girl & the Goat restaurant in Chicago; Cat Cora, born in Jackson, Mississippi, is probably best known for her featured role as an “Iron Chef” on the Food Network Television show Iron Chef America; Maneet Chauhan is executive chef of Vermillion, an award winning contemporary Indian and Latin American Fusion restaurant in Chicago;  and Anne Burrell is the dynamic host of the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef.
