Transom Radio Listening Event @ Woods Hole Community Hall
When: Wed Apr 3rd
7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Where: Woods Hole Community Hall | 68 Water Street | Woods Hole
TRANSOM.org is offering a public listening event at 7:30 pm this coming Wednesday, April 3, at the Community Hall, 68 Water Street, in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. Admission is free.
Andrew Forsthoefel set out at age 23 to walk across America, east to west, 4000 miles, with a sign on him that said, "Walking to Listen".
This hour-long documentary for public radio, co-produced with Jay Allison and TRANSOM.org, tracks his epic journey.
It's a coming of age story, and a portrait of this country - big-hearted, wild, innocent, and wise.
Jay Allison, founder of WCAI, says, “Andrew didn't intend to make a radio story––he just wanted to listen to people. You'll hear in Andrew's interviews his quality of attention. He is a magnet for stories and for the desire to connect.
Come meet Andrew and the folks from Transom––hear the work, see photos, and ask questions. Thanks to Atlantic Public Media (www.atlantic.org) and WCAI (capeandislands.org)
