At its meeting last week, Falmouth School Committee unanimously approved the sale of two “surplus” school vehicles to two Falmouth residents. One of the cars had been in an accident and was sold for parts.
Although the school does not own full-sized school buses, it does own smaller vans and sedans used to transport special needs students.
The school committee approved the sale of a 2003 Ford Crown sedan to Joseph Leo P. Gaudet of Sandwich Road for $251. Another bid of $115 was rejected.
The school committee approved the sale of a 2008 Ford E150 van to John A. Bordieri of Acapesket Road for $625, who outbid an offer from Sandis Auto Sales of $300.
