Two people died over the weekend in Falmouth, one from a confirmed heroin overdose.
At 6:54 Saturday morning, police and paramedics responded to an East Falmouth address for the report of a death. Sergeant Jamie D. Karl said that the man was a 25-year-old from Falmouth. Deputy Chief Michael F. Small confirmed that he died from a heroin overdose.
On Sunday at 1:13 AM, police responded to another report of an overdose. Sgt. Karl said that when police arrived, paramedics were already treating a patient that he said was a 32-year-old man. Deputy Small said that paramedics rushed him to Falmouth Hospital where he died.
Neither police nor firefighters could confirm that he died from a heroin overdose, but Deputy Small said that it was suspected.
Since the beginning of the year, Falmouth police have reported three victims that have died from heroin overdoses, before this weekend’s suspected cases.
