8:22 AM: Officer Matthew Cascio responded to the Polar Cave on Route 28 following the report of a past breaking and entering. A store employee said that $660 in cash was stolen from the store. Police reported that the intruder pried open a back door to access the cash. An investigation remains open.

10:59 AM: A woman reported that her iPhone valued at $600 was stolen from her while she was inside Sweet Waves Self-Serve Frozen Yogurt in Mashpee Commons. Police reported that they have a suspect after they reviewed store surveillance. Officer Christopher Giuca responded to the incident.

1:28 PM: Officer Cascio issued a criminal application to Jesse C. Appleton, 40, of South Yarmouth for the operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Officer Cascio issued the penalty after a traffic stop on Route 28.

6:23 PM: Officer Cascio arrested Jacqueline Roe, 40, of Bethel, Connecticut, after a domestic dispute on Bluff Avenue. A family member of Ms. Roe said that Ms. Roe threw her to the ground by grabbing her hair and continued to beat her, police reported. Officer Cascio reported that alcohol was involved in the incident. Ms. Roe will face charges for assault and battery.

12:35 PM: Police received a report that an iPhone 5, valued at $500, was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Market Street in Mashpee Commons.

3:29 PM: Officer Cascio issued a criminal application to Sheldon T. Blake, 46, of Mashpee for operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Officer Cascio pulled Mr. Blake over on Sassacus Road.

12:59 PM: A Mashpee resident reported that he was assaulted during an altercation on Quinaquisset Avenue earlier in the day. Officer Patrick Leahy responded to the address and at approximately 1:20 PM, arrested Wayne A. Fantasia, 29, of Mashpee on a warrant from Falmouth District Court for a suspended license.

1:50 PM: Police issued a criminal application to Brittany S. DeCoster, 23, of Falmouth for the operation of a motor vehicle with a revoked license and an uninsured motor vehicle. Officer Kristopher Threlkeld pulled her over on Old Barnstable Road.

6:12 PM: Officer Threlkeld arrested Daniel Cruz, 32, of Mashpee, on a warrant from Barnstable District Court for operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license. The officer made the arrest after a traffic stop on Route 130.

Monday, July 21, 2014

4:22 PM: Officer Lisa Hettinger and firefighters assisted a woman in Mashpee Commons who had accidentally locked a child in a vehicle outside of Stop & Shop. The report was made by an official at AAA. The mother said that she forgot her 14-month-old child had the car keys and that the child accidentally locked the vehicle when the mother was outside, police reported. The car was eventually unlocked and police reported the incident was resolved without injury.

7:48 PM: The owner of a boat moored in Waquoit Bay reported that two fishing poles valued at $100 in total were stolen from his boat.

10:22 AM: Officer Threlkeld arrested Derek W. Mills, 30, of Chicopee on a warrant from Fall River for a bylaw violation. Officer Threlkeld made the arrest after a traffic stop on Route 130.

6:56 PM: Officer Threlkeld wrote a criminal application to Kaela R. Byrne, 24, of Mashpee, for operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license. He issued the citation after Ms. Byrne failed to stop at an intersection of Bates Road.

10:41 PM: A Mashpee Commons security guard informed police of a possible drunk driver on Bates Road in Mashpee Commons. Officer Leahy responded and found a vehicle stopped in the street, with the engine running and a man asleep at the wheel whose arm was extended out an open window. Officer Leahy identified the man as John I. Ridino, 35, of East Falmouth. After Mr. Ridino failed sobriety tests, Officer Leahy arrested him for his second offense of drunk driving

12:26 AM: Officer Michael Moulis issued a criminal application to Tiffany M. Sweeting, 31, of East Falmouth for operating a vehicle with a revoked registration and for operating an uninsured vehicle without an inspection sticker. Officer Moulis made the citation after a traffic stop on Route 28.

11:59 AM: Police arrested Christine A. Maddox, 49, of Hyannis, on a warrant out of a Boston court for allowing an unlicensed operator. Officer Adam Sassone made the arrest on Route 151.
