Theft Of Audio Equipment From New Seabury Home

Mashpee Police responded to a home in New Seabury Wednesday afternoon after a resident reported that more than $95,000 in custom-made, rare stereo and electronic equipment had been stolen from a garage.

According to police reports, the unidentified homeowner reported that two McIntosh Labs amplifiers, each valued at $24,000, an Esoteric CD player valued at $20,450, an Esoteric rubidium clock valued at $22,900, and a subwoofer worth $4,300 were stolen.

The homeowner took delivery of the items between April 4 and 14 in Mashpee. When the homeowner returned from a second home in Florida this week, the items were missing from the garage.

The incident remains under investigation by the Mashpee Police Department.
