Alfred P. Silva, husband of Shandra (Farias) Silva of North Falmouth, died at Falmouth Hospital on July 31. He was 92.
He was the son of Frank P. and Maria (Correia) Silvia.
Formerly of Taunton, Mr. Silva grew up in Raynham. He served in the US Coast Guard during World War II. Later he became a production foreman for Reed & Barton Silversmiths and retired after more than 43 years.
He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Seton Church in North Falmouth.
In addition to his wife of 70 years, Mr. Silva leaves a sister, Mary DeCastro of Taunton; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late John, Anthony and Frank Silvia.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Elizabeth Seton Church in North Falmouth on Wednesday, August 6, at 11 AM.
Burial followed at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105; or to the charity of one’s choice.
