Anne Maroney of Sandwich, 90, died August 5.
She was the wife of the late John Maroney.
Ms. Maroney worked as a telephone operator in various capacities most of her life.
A devout Catholic, Ms. Maroney was a member of the Women’s Guild at Corpus Christi Church in Sandwich.
She leaves her children, John Maroney and his wife, Eileen Maroney, of Wayland, and Susan Chipchase of Dedham; and her grandchildren, John Maroney Jr. of North Carolina, Joseph Maroney of Westwood, and Victor Chipchase of Bourne. She also leaves two great-grandchildren, Jake and Jaxon Maroney of North Carolina; and a sister, Teresa Shomphe of Manchester-by-the-Sea.
Her son, Brian Maroney, died in March 2010. Ms. Maroney was also the sister of the late Stella Newis.
Visiting hours will be on Sunday, August 10, from 4 to 7 PM at Nickerson- Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Rt 6A, Sandwich.
A funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM at Corpus Christi Church, 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Road, Sandwich, with burial at 12:45 PM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
A reception will take place after the burial at Ms. Maroney’s home at 7 Chipman Road, Sandwich.
