Barbara Ann Wilson, 86, a longtime resident of West Yarmouth, died on July 16 at the Royal Megansett Nursing & Retirement Home in North Falmouth. She leaves family in East Sandwich.
Born in Lynn, Ms. Wilson graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester and was a graduate of Fisher Junior College.
She was a self-employed bookkeeper for several years and was the former accountant for the Town of Yarmouth. She retired in 1991.
After retirement, Ms. Wilson was very active with the Yarmouth Council on Aging. She also traveled extensively, visiting destinations such as Europe and the Caribbean.
She also was a fan of the Boston Red Sox.
Ms. Wilson leaves her children, Linda Tedeschi and her husband, Ted Tedeschi, of East Sandwich, and William Wilson of Branford, Connecticut; and her seven grandchildren, Ryan Tedeschi of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Sean Tedeschi of Yarmouth, Adam Tedeschi of East Sandwich, Amy Flanigan of Southington, Connecticut, Daniel Wilson and Andrew Wilson, both of Branford, Connecticut, and Kyle Wilson of Brookline. She also leaves seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Monday, July 21, in the Hallett Funeral Home, South Yarmouth.
Burial followed in Ancient Cemetery, Ancient Way, Yarmouthport.
