Elizabeth J. Gumbert of Marstons Mills died on June 2. She leaves family in Mashpee.
Born in 1934, Ms. Gumbert was the wife of the late Richard A. Gumbert. She was known to many people as Tootsie.
Ms. Gumbert worked for Jordan Marsh and C.B. Perkins Tobacco Co. before retiring. She was also past president of the Falmouth Figure Skating Club.
She leaves her children, Nancy Gagne and her husband, Dennis Gagne, of Marstons Mills, Father Kenneth Gumbert of Providence, Rhode Island, Karen Stanford Lynch of Mashpee, Jo-Ann Mills and her husband, Elwood Mills, of Mashpee, Richard Gumbert and his wife, Vanessa Gumbert, of Mashpee, and Lizabeth G. Lepore and her husband, Michael Lepore, of Sewickley, Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She also leaves a sister, Phyllis LeShane of Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Ms. Gumbert was predeceased by six siblings.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 5, from 4 to 7 PM at the John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Road, Marstons Mills. A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 6, at 11 AM at Parish of Christ the King, 3 Job’s Fishing Road, Mashpee.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
