George W. Gallant Jr., 82, of West Falmouth died on April 11.
He was married to Joan C. (Crimmins) Gallant for 59 years.
Mr. Gallant, the son of George W. and Gladys (Dalby) Gallant, was born in Boston and formerly lived in Stoughton.
He served in the US Army during the Korean and Vietnam wars, retiring as a colonel.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his daughters, Nicole Morgan and Judith Gallant, both of Stoughton; and his granddaughter, Emma Morgan.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 15, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 584 West Falmouth Highway (Route 28A), West Falmouth, with a funeral Mass at 11 AM at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 481 Quaker Road, North Falmouth. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Central Street, Stoughton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cathedral High School-Boston, 74 Union Park Street, Boston, MA 02118.
