Lee Ann (McConnell) Mannillo of Pocasset died unexpectedly on May 8 after medical complications at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was 41.
A graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, she was an environmental coordinator for 12 years with the Barnstable County Department of Health and Environment. She was also a key member in developing the Cape Cod Hoarding Task Force and participated in many environmental causes.
She enjoyed sailing, horses, gardening, traveling, cooking and clam digging.
She leaves her spouse, Richard Mannillo; two sons, Van Mannillo and Nicholas Mannillo, of Pocasset, who were born on May 7; her parents, Dale McConnell of Norway, Maine, and Paula McConnell of Monument Beach; her sister, Keli Maibaum of Buzzards Bay; her brother, Shawn McConnell of Dallas; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are Wednesday, May 14, from 4 to 7 PM in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 584 West Falmouth Highway (Route 28A).
A service will be held Thursday, May 15, at 10 AM in the funeral home.
Burial is private.
