Lillian B. Palm

Lillian B. (Cook) Palm of Ellicott City, Maryland, a former summer resident of North Falmouth, died on April 8. She was 95.

She was the widow of Harold R. Palm, who died in 2007.

Born in Brockton and raised in Whitman, she was the daughter of Milton R. and Rena C. (Emond) Cook.

She was a 1936 graduate of Whitman High School and 1938 graduate of Burdett College.

Mrs. Palm had split her time between her summer home at New Silver Beach in North Falmouth and her home in Whitman.

In Whitman she was a member of the Mothers Club, the Woman’s Club and the Garden Club. In later years she was active in the Whitman Senior Citizens Club.

She leaves her daughters, Sheila Solomon of Ellicott City, Maryland, and Gaynor O’Brien of Falmouth; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her brother, Milton R. Cook Jr.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 15, from 10 AM to noon in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, 666 Plymouth Street, Whitman, followed by a funeral service at noon in the funeral chapel.

Burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
