Nathalie Ann Close-Samulski, 80, of Bradenton, Florida, formerly of Buzzards Bay, died July 2.
Born in Boston, Ms. Close-Samulski was the daughter of Franklin E. and Nancy (Shafer) Huntress. She moved to Bradenton in 1992 from Buzzards Bay.
She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, where she was also a volunteer, and was a member of the board of Perico Bay Club. She also was a volunteer at Blake Medical Center in Brandenton.
Ms. Close-Samulski was an avid bridge and tennis player. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, needlepoint, and making prayer cushions for her church.
She leaves her children, Ivan Hartwell III of Palmetto, Florida, Natalie Jackson of Bradenton, Florida, Lauren Mamlock and her husband, John Mamlock, of West Barnstable, and Sarah Zmudzien and her husband, George Zmudzien, of Pymouth; her stepson, David Samulski of Bradenton, Florida; her brothers, the Rev. Franklin E. Huntress Jr. of Marblehead and Frederick A. Huntress and his wife, Linda Huntress, of Meredith, New Hampshire; and eight grandchildren.
Ms. Close-Samulski was predeceased by her husbands, Joseph Close and Sam Samulski.
