Tax Money Helped Save A Life - Letter

I wish to express great gratitude and appreciation to three Mashpee EMTs, Mike Evaul, Jamie Hall and Rich Thyer, for their quick response time and professionalism which saved my life on Saturday, May 24 at 12:25 AM at my home in Popponesset.

I was brought to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis via ambulance after going into cardiac arrest. These three heroes were spectacular.  They applied their knowledge and training to solve my problem. They are certainly a pride of Mashpee.

Over the years I always taunted Chief (George W.) Baker as a joke for his use of my tax money. I am sure happy he was able to convince you all of the importance of the Red Brook Road substation. Thank you for having the foresight to establish that most important location.

I am writing in support of continuing  the ongoing funding of this substation. The facility supports south Mashpee residents and, as Chief Baker predicted, saves lives.

My wife, Linda, also wants to thank Mike, Jamie and Rich for saving her husband's life through their quick actions, calm demeanor and professionalism during a very stressful time.
