A person from a home on Route 130 called police at 8 AM to report that a window in their vehicle had been smashed. According to police, the vehicle’s driver’s-side window had been smashed but no items were missing from the car. The responding officer believes that the damage may have been caused by a truck passing on Route 130.

Police responded to the scene of a car crash at the intersection of Route 6A and Tupper Road at 5:21 PM. Police said the crash occurred when Deborah L. Bartlett, 49, of Bourne was entering the intersection and failed to stop for a fire truck driven by Fire Chief William C. Carrico, 47, of Sandwich. Ms. Bartlett was transported to Jordan Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash and was cited for failing to stop for an emergency vehicle.

Denise M. Dever, 59, of Forestdale arrested at 10:21 PM on Quaker Meetinghouse Road after she was seen driving erratically on Cotuit Road. Patrolman Adam Trayner said when he pulled Ms. Dever over, he noticed that she had bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol. Officer Trayner administered a series of sobriety tests, which she failed. Ms. Dever was transported to the station, where she was booked and bailed.

Police responded to a caller from the Joint Base Cape Cod gatehouse on Snake Pond at 6:09 PM who said the sound of gunshots had been heard. Responding officers reported hearing what sounded like gunshots, but they were unable to locate the source of the sound.

Police responded to a woman who had called 911 from Dillingham Avenue at 3:41 PM claiming that there were two people in a van who were scaring her. When police arrived, they spoke with the woman who appeared to be confused and delusional. She was transported to Cape Cod Hospital for psychiatric evaluation.

At 10:36 PM, police received a 911 call from Anchor Drive reporting a heated domestic dispute between a father and son. By the time police arrived, the son had already left the scene on foot and the incident was determined to be a verbal argument with no assaults. No charges were filed at the time of the incident.

At 4:30 PM, a person walked into the station to report damage done to their front door. Detective Albert Robichaud responded to the home on Cross Street. The resident said that their dog had started barking around 12:30 AM and they noticed a broken windowpane around 5:30 AM. Detective Robichaud found no evidence of an attempt to enter the home and determined that the cracked windowpane may have been caused by a thrown stone.

Police responded to the scene of a car crash at the intersection of Route 130 and Quaker Meetinghouse Road at 4:59 PM. The crash occurred when Joanne F. Meola-Perugia, 47, of Sandwich was stopped at a red light and Brittany A. Bankston, 23, of Mashpee did not slow or stop her vehicle as she approached the intersection. It caused her car to collide with the rear of Ms. Meola-Perugia’s vehicle. There were no injuries reported and no citations were issued.

At 5:05 PM, police responded to a call from Osprey Lane reporting a vehicle break-in that was noticed at 11 o’clock that morning. The caller claimed that their unlocked car had been broken into overnight and that about $10 in loose change had been taken from the center console of the car. Police canvassed the neighborhood but found nothing. The incident remains under investigation.

Police responded to the scene of a car crash at 3:52 PM near the intersection of Route 6A and Jarves Street. The crash occurred when Thomas J. Hume, 48, of West Barnstable was attempting to make a left turn and failed to yield to oncoming traffic, causing his vehicle to collide with another driven by Karen Wise, 54, of Westwood. A passenger from Mr. Hume’s vehicle was transported to Cape Cod Hospital to be treated for injuries sustained in the crash and Mr. Hume was cited for failing to yield right-of-way.

At 2:26 AM, police responded to a 911 call from a woman on Holly Ridge Drive reporting a domestic issue. Her domestic partner was reportedly “very high” and she was concerned for her pets, as there was smoke everywhere. She told police that she had been asking him to leave for over an hour. No charges were filed at the time of the incident.

Police responded to a man on Thicket Run Road at 11:48 AM reporting that his home had been broken into while he was on vacation. The responding officer requested that a county criminal investigative officer investigate the scene. It was determined that a motorcycle had been stolen from the man’s garage. A neighborhood canvass was conducted and the incident remains under investigation.

Police responded to the scene of a car crash on Farmersville Road at 6:25 PM. The crash occurred when David J. Valiga, 36, of Marstons Mills had stopped his vehicle at the intersection of South Point Drive to allow another vehicle to make a turn and Caitlin E. Cullen, 27, of Sandwich failed to stop in time, causing her car to collide with the rear of Mr. Valiga’s vehicle. Two people from Mr. Valiga’s car were transported to Cape Cod Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash and Ms. Cullen was cited for following too closely.

A Forestdale man was arrested following a domestic disturbance at 11:48 PM on Jody Lane. Officers arrived at the scene of the disturbance and found Adam C. Day, 26, sitting on the ground outside the home, reportedly waiting for a ride. When officers spoke with the woman who reported the disturbance, she told officers that Mr. Day had assaulted her and thrown her to the ground. Mr. Day was booked on charges of assault and battery.
