Williams slammed a shot off the crossbar and Anna Gannett had a quick turn and shoot chance in the final minutes of the half.

Lia Wilcox had a good shot from just inside the 18-yard line and a little later another off a setup by Congro. A minute after Lia Wilcox’s bid Muttart turned on the jets as she caught up to a pass from Gannett and outraced the Orleans defense Crossing the 18-yard line with two defenders on her heels, Muttart made a move to her right when the keeper came out of the net and cut back, leaving herself an open net and scoring the second Sandwich goal.

Hurley made a nice two-handed diving save to her left four minutes later. Williams had a scoring chance from the left side and Moffa got off a shot from the right side in the final minutes. Both keepers ended the second as they had begun, making a couple of saves each.

Defensively, in front of Hurley, Paige Wilcox, Liz Fulp and Jessie and Allie Lizotte combined to turned back the Orleans offense, especially during the final minutes of the match. The Sandwich midfield did a nice job in transition, with Gannett, Congro, Bergeron and Lia Wilcox feeding the front line. Up front Muttart, Moffa, Lia Wilcox, Bergeron and Lauren Thompson used their speed well in getting a step on the Orleans defenders, working the ball around well, creating scoring opportunities.
